Thirty-two year old daughter of Righteous Brothers Bill Medley, McKenna Medley started singing at age four. When she was about 14 she was opening for the Smothers Brothers, Frankie Avalon and the Righteous Brothers. Then by the time she was 15 she was headlining on her own in Las Vegas. During that time, she was also attending the prestigious Orange County High School of the Arts.
McKenna performed at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas for three years in a row, singing the National Anthem on Opening Night. She also performed on the Television hit “Dancing with the Stars” with her father, doing a version of his song “(I’ve Had The) Time of My Life” from the blockbuster movie “Dirty Dancing”.
For the last six years she has performed in Branson, Missouri where she has had her own show, performed with her Dad, and was awarded The 417 Magazine “Female Vocalist of The Year” in 2008. While in Branson, she has also had the opportunity to work with some other incredible talent; such as The Original Comets, Les Brown Jr., Paul Revere and the Raiders, Shirley Austin Reeves, Bobby Vee and The Vee’s, Danny and the Juniors, and many more.
But most of the time these days you can find her on tour with her Dad. She is a pivotal part of the show, and she is enjoying touring around the world and singing wherever she can.
McKenna has also been working on her own music for the past few years. She is an extremely talented writer- both melodically and lyrically; and she has a true passion for writing.
Favorite food? All of it! I'm such a foodie!
Where did you grow up? Newport Beach, California
Up with the sun or sleep in? I'm a night owl! So I would say I tend to sleep in. However I do really love early mornings, they are so peaceful.
Favorite place to perform? I'm not sure I could say just one... There are so many incredible theaters out there. But I will say that I worked a private party in Banff and that was one of my favorites because it introduced me to the magic that is Banff.
Is Nashville an awesome place to live? Oh yes! It is so artistic and fun!
Hobbies? So so so many. Basically anything artistic.
